2018 Principal Project

Students learning at the Simpson Academy for Young Women

This year, the Woman's Board of Rush University Medical Center will raise funds to support the Rush Education and Career Hub, or REACH, an innovative education and workforce development program that provides mentoring and internship programs to high school and college students from Chicago's West Side communities.

In the next decade, the need for health care professionals will grow substantially, especially in low-income communities where there are low numbers of students who are able to access these careers.  Through mentorship, job shadowing and internship programming, Rush is advancing educational attainment and preparing high school and college students for job success in the health care industry.  The REACH program is part of Rush's commitment to improve the overall health and well-being of the nine vibrant and diverse neighborhoods comprising Chicago's West Side.

We greatly appreciate your commitment to helping make a difference in our community!
